Bamborough Zulu
Bamborough
Zulu arrived 1 September on the first air freight of
horses into Christchurch from Australia. He was bred by Jill and Robert
Grant,
Bamborough Stud, NSW. Zulu comes with a rich pedigree of
Downland Warrior as his sire and Bamborough Razzamatazz (Dam
Downland Razzle Dazzle) as his dam. He is quite different to what
we have used for our sires in the past and feel the time is right to
scope our ponies out.
Kelt Horse of the Year March 2010
As
a sponsor for The Shetland Steelechase we took four Shetland
steeplechasers and Glendale Eve to Hastings. We arived at 8pm the night
before Eve was due in the ring after two days travelling, including a
three hour crossing on The Cook Straight Ferry. Eve travelled really
well and performed beyond all expectation coming second in the ridden
title class. A big ask for a four year pony. Congratulations to Aranui
Watercolour on winning
this large and strong class. Our thanks must go to Maia Waretini who rides Eve so very well.
